Glass lamination silicone bag

Description

The vacuum bag is used during the glass lamination process due to its strength, flexibility and temperature resistance up to 250°C. The bag is made of silicone rubber joined with a seal. One side of the membrane is textured to facilitate air flow and reduce friction between the composite elements. The air is evacuated from the sleeve by a hose and a nozzle also made of silicone. Equipped with an E or C type seal. It ensures perfect tightness and facilitates closing or opening the bag. In order to support the extraction of air from the silicone vacuum bag, it is good practice to insert a PTFE mesh inside. Lack of mesh can seal the membrane on the glass and create an air bubble, which can result in inaccurate extraction of air and defects in the produced material. However, the use of PTFE mesh is only an example, any material can be used as long as it is resistant to higher temperatures.
